Job Description

Great Opportunity for a Financial Accounting Manager  (posted September 3rd) in Riverside, Iowa.  Gaming Hospitality Executive has been retained to assist a  company to identify a Financial Accounting Manager  with experience in  general ledger procedures and accounts payable.  The position is located in Riverside Iowa.



Job description for the Financial Accounting Manager position is as  follows...

 

• 
  

  Ensures all accounting activities in the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Payroll Department are performed effectively and efficiently, 

  
  


• Ensures compliance with General Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP), system of Internal Control and all applicable federal and state regulations and laws.


• Produce month end closing financial reports to the State and quarterly SEC filings;


• Prepare condensed financial statements 


• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; manage fixed assets; enter and post entries as needed;


• Review daily Cash-Flow Reports;


• Adjust performance standards and procedures as needed.


• Development of departmental budgets and reporting of actual cost and variances;


• Audit preparation; Interface with departmental managers on all related financial issues.


• Perform assigned tasks as prescribed by the CFO.


• Prepare and files tax returns for the property.

Job Requirements

The following qualifications are required for the Financial Accounting Manager position:

• B.S. in Finance/Accounting;


• Four years related experience,


• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• CPA preferred.


• Exceptional management, directive, and critical thinking skills.


• Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and communication skills.   


• Provide ad-hoc management reporting as directed by Controller.


• Participate in ad-hoc finance projects as directed by Controller.  


• Maintain courteous and effective working relationships with others.


• Perform other duties as assigned.
